The vision: making processes visible

“Our ‘Blackbox’ at BAU 2027 is not a static exhibition stand, but a walk-through experience. We take visitors by the hand and guide them through the ‘loading’ process of modern construction methods – from initial curiosity to a deep understanding of the technology.”

• The Wake-up Call (West Entrance): “It all begins with a deliberate disruption. The building skeleton at the West Entrance is loud, black and striking in form. It is designed to command attention. The ‘Loading’ animation on the LED strips signals: something big is taking shape here. Anyone standing here becomes part of a process.”
• The Turning Point (Tunnel & Portal): “We need a moment to pause. The black tunnel filters out the noise of the exhibition. It is a spatial deceleration before the neon portal in the glass passageway literally draws visitors into the Blackbox.”
• The Vacuum (Hall B0): “In the hall, we create a controlled vacuum. The black Molton curtain makes the outside world disappear. We guide the audience along a circular route where the curtain opens again and again to reveal specialised thematic worlds.”
• The Dialogue (Welcome & Lounge): “We welcome guests with material honesty: multiplex modules that evoke the everyday life of tradespeople, yet are transformed into high-end design through LED joints. Here, the BAU yellow meets the soft lilac of the lounge – a place where technical discussions begin in a relaxed atmosphere.”

• The Heart (White Stage): “At the centre lies the radical opposite: the White Stage. A scaffolding structure, enhanced by poetic fabrics. It resembles a clinically sterile laboratory. This is where visions are dissected. It is the place of clarity amidst the black box.”

• The Application (Loop, Playground, Assembly Line): “In the home stretch, it becomes a tactile experience. In the green Loop, we grasp cycles. In the turquoise Playground, we play with systems – square, practical, yet full of dynamism. In the blue Assembly Line, we use our tried-and-tested material system to make processes tangible.”

• The Power Station (InterOp-Lab): “The technological pinnacle: the red lab. On an aluminium platform, we showcase the hard infrastructure of robotics. It’s clean, technical and uncompromisingly modern.”

• The Finale (Palm Garden): “To round things off, we surprise visitors with a surreal oasis. A pink jungle, neon lights and flamingos. Anyone sitting here looks back at the Stage and lets the impressions sink in. It’s the perfect place to bring the journey to a close.”
